Kickstarting Thrive!

Hello everyone! It was an absolute joy to see all of you at the meeting today! I would just like to go a little bit more in depth with some of the things we talked about in today’s meeting. So health can mean a lot of different things to people. For some of us, health is what we eat, how we eat, what our bodies look like, having the right kind of body, eating food to build muscle, looking a certain way, etc. In reality, health is nothing more than this: a balance between your body, your, mind, and what you eat. How you see yourself and treat yourself in your mind is one of the hardest things to a healthy lifestyle. I admit that I am sometimes harsh with myself and wish I could work harder, but I know that wishing won’t bring me anywhere. You see? It all starts with motivation and determination. The willingness and desire to change or improve will help you push yourself in ways you never thought were possible! You’ll realize that you’re stronger than what you thought you were. But change can’t happen if you don’t act upon that determination. There are so many different kinds of workouts, and not everyone will like a certain type of workout. Working out should be something we enjoy. If you don’t look forward to working out every day, you better start looking into some different kinds of workouts. Lastly, working out but eating food that is lacking in nutrition is not going to help you. You’ll end up being discouraged and wonder why nothing is happening. This means learning to come up with nutritious alternatives to your meals. Of course, you can indulge every so often, maybe once a week, when you have your YOLO meal (not YOLO Day!). YOLO meals can be anything you want them to be. Just treat yourself and reward yourself for your efforts every once in a while, but don’t do this every day! This is only the beginning of thriving from the inside out. 🙂
